The team behind B&H

Meet Brie & Hershey

Brieanna “Brie” Whitworth is the trainer and the human half of B & H. Hershey is the dog who started it all — the puppy that taught Brie everything she now teaches to clients in Houston.

B & H Dog Training Co. was built on the trainer Brie wished she had when she brought Hershey home: honest, structured, and tailored to the dog in front of her — not a one-size program sold off a shelf.

What makes B&H different from the typical Houston trainer?

Most training businesses sell you a package. We sell you a relationship with your dog. Every session is in-person, every plan is written for your dog's temperament and your household, and every milestone is measured against real behavior — not against a worksheet from week five.

What is the training philosophy?

Balanced and dog-first. Positive reinforcement is the foundation — dogs learn faster and remember longer when they are rewarded for what works. Clear boundaries complete the picture. A dog that only knows what gets a treat still does not know what gets a “no.” Both halves matter.

The outcome we want is a dog that behaves because it has been taught, not because it is afraid. That is the standard every session is built around.

What should I expect from a first session?

Honest assessment and a plan. We spend the first session seeing your dog in their environment, hearing what you want to change, and giving you a realistic picture of what the work will look like. No pressure, no upselling. If we are not the right fit, we will tell you.

Does B&H work with aggressive or reactive dogs?

Yes. Reactivity and behavior modification are two of the programs we run most often. Some bite history or specific aggression cases are referred to a veterinary behaviorist — we will tell you honestly after the first assessment which bucket your dog falls into.

Think we might be a fit?

Book a first session or send a quick note. We'll be straight with you about what the work looks like for your dog.
